Self-Knowledge Provides Freedom from the Effects of Action

न मां कर्माणि लिम्पन्ति
न मे कर्मफले स्पृहा
na māṁ karmāṇi limpanti, na me karma-phale spṛhā

Planning leads to efficiency; worrying leads to deficiency.

Krishna is always in action, yet untouched by it. How Self-knowledge lets a householder stay fully engaged in the world while staying free inside, and why planning helps while worrying does not.

Action performed without attachment to personal fruits does not bind the actor. In daily life, this distinction between proactive planning and reactive anxiety is the very heart of Karma Yoga. When we do our duties with clarity and devotion, work itself becomes an offering.
